Rocky & Taras Nut Haus
About This Spot
Stepping into Rocky & Taras Nut Haus feels like entering a living room where stories ebb and flow as effortlessly as the music filling the air. Nestled along Dundas Road in Kaukauna, this is a place where the pace slows just enough to savor the moment, whether you’re settling in for a lively night or a relaxed afternoon escape. The space effortlessly blends open-air charm with cozy indoor corners, creating pockets of warmth and camaraderie that invite both familiar faces and first-time visitors to linger a little longer.
At its heart, the Nut Haus is a lively bar and event venue with a rhythm all its own. It’s the kind of spot where the hum of conversations mixes with the twang of guitars and the gentle clink of glasses, creating a backdrop that feels genuine and deeply rooted in community. The outdoor pavilion, in particular, offers a bright, airy retreat bathed in natural light during the day and softly lit by candles as evening falls—perfect for catching up with friends or unwinding after a long week.
Here, food and drink are integral threads in the tapestry of the experience rather than focal points in themselves. From adventurous tastes like Rocky Mountain oysters to a thoughtfully crafted Bloody Mary, the menu complements the unpretentious vibe, inviting guests to explore bold flavors without ceremony. Attentive bartenders move through the space with an easy confidence, setting just the right tone with a friendly smile or a well-timed game of darts, making it clear that every detail, no matter how small, is a part of the whole.
The true magic of Rocky & Taras Nut Haus lies in its ability to feel both intimate and animated—an uncommon balance where live music nights bring the venue alive without overwhelming the natural warmth of the setting. It’s a place where hosts know your name, where the music flows freely, and where the little things—like flickering citronella candles or an extra chair brought right to your table—reflect a genuine care for those who gather here.

Really nice bar, with an awesome outdoor/indoor area.

I've never been to the Nut Haus before until just recently. I attended a family's baby shower event that was held in the detached building next to the main bar/building. Although I didn't go inside the main structure, I can say this place is impressive! I'm told this place is hopping when they have live music. I could tell they have a great setup for live music. Inside of the building I was in, they have a large, beautiful bar that was stocked with everything imaginable. It was winter when I visited, but I noticed multiple garage doors, which I thought would be a fun place to hang out to enjoy live music during the summer months. The atmosphere there is so cool. Great food, drinks and service. I'll be back for more come summertime!

Never made it inside the main bar. But the atmosphere and the staff were great in the pavilion.

It is very evident that Rocky and Tara really do love this bar and its patrons. We were there for Logan Spicer last week, and they were constantly on the move! They brought out more chairs for people, cleaned up glasses, and even brought out citronella candles for each table. Little things like that speak volumes. They're doing a fantastic job!

Havent been in for 5 years, looks completely different. A lovely remodel. They have an out door garage type bar too, smoking patio etc. Lovely service and conversation with the bar manager. Amazing loaded bloody mary. We will be back!

I didn't spend any time in the bar. I was there for the Testicle Festival. You heard right, Rocky Mt Oysters. $10 to get in, food vendors and the all you can eat deep fried testicals were free. served with ranch dressing.
